Bangers and Bonfires!

Remember, remember the fifth of November with a sizzle, pop and bang!

Obviously we all know it’s Bonfire Night tonight but did you also know it’s also National Sausage Week?

Well at Just Good Food, we’ve been thinking about ways you can enjoy the tasty sausage whilst admiring the fireworks.

Cocktail sausages are ideal for a ‘grab and go’ snack – but before you leave quickly roast these delicious mini sausages in a tiny bit of oil, for a few minutes, crisping the outside and warming the inside. Make sure you have enough though because they won’t be around for long!

For those with a bigger appetite, treat yourself to a delicious hot dog smothered with sizzling, hot onions and a spicy mustard sauce. Perfect for warming you up, inside and out.

Alternatively, if you’re planning to cuddle up on the sofa at home and watch the fireworks through your windows, complete your night with a traditional toad in the hole (whole sausages baked in a Yorkshire pudding batter), complete with thick gravy and creamy mash potato. Yum!

But above all this Bonfire Night, stay safe and don’t forget to share your Bonfire Night food photos with us on Twitter @JustGoodFood and we’ll RT the most banging!
