Top Five Fang-tastic Halloween Foods

Thinking about throwing a Halloween party but unsure of how to put the spook into everyday food? Well, at Just Good Food we’ve come up with our top five totally simple Halloween food ideas!

1. Blood red velvet cupcakes

The crème de la crème of any party. The vibrant blood red coloured cakes are perfect for Halloween. Complete yours with a ghostly white cream cheese frosting drizzled with raspberry sauce.

2. Mini ghost pizzas

Transform your pizza to be the Halloween centrepiece of your party. Top your pizza off with ghost shaped mozzarella which has been cut using a ghost cookie cutter. Then slice up an orange pepper – you’ll be amazed at how much they look like pumpkins. Horrifying!

3. Dead man’s jelly

Add a fright to your jellies by adding some jelly babies into the mixture before it sets. The sweets will float to the top and look like little zombie’s  creating a gruesomely delicious dessert.

4. Pumpkin cake

If you like carrot cake, then you’ll love this is one. Follow exactly the same recipe as you would to make a carrot cake but swap the carrot for pumpkin! Simple.

5. Sausage roll mummies

A little fiddly but well worth the effort – wrap your cocktail sausages in thin strips of shortcrust pastry and bake until golden. Serve with a mustard and honey dip and watch your guests unravel with jealousy!
